Dr Bex is a medical anthropologist who works with small-scale fisherpeople and sealions in South America, where she gets to blend her love of diving with supporting community development! She has lived and worked in Colombia and Peru for over a decade, running projects that support female development and empowerment.

 Bex started diving in 2019 following a health scare, and surgery to remove a tumor, finding that the peace of the underwater world helped her overcome her health-related anxiety. Bex is training to be a divemaster and loves to support anxious divers to overcome their fears.
